Lawyer`s murder: Arrest of culprits demanded in 24 hours
  27, November, 2024, 9:55:10:PM

Anti-Discrimination Student Movement convener Hasnat Abdullah has demanded arrest of the persons involved in the murder of Advocate Saiful Islam Alif on the Chittagong court premises during the attack of ISKCON leaders and workers on Tuesday (November 26).

He made the demand while addressing a demonstration at Tiger Pass crossing in the port city on Wednesday (November 27).

Hasnat Abdullah said: "My brother Saiful was brutally killed. This ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) must be banned as a terrorist organization.

He said, "This ISKCON has now turned into an extremist organization receiving support and cooperation from Awami League over the last 16 years. It is now trying to create instability in the country under the prescription of India. But, we want to make it clear that India`s Hasina will have no place in Bangladesh anymore. Whatever conspiracies she hatches staying in India, all the people of Bangladesh will foil those conspiracies."

Hasnat said, "We have not forgotten how ISKCON is creating instability in Bangladesh under the prescription of India with the support and cooperation of autocratic Awami League. If anyone tries to run any extremist organization under the pretext of religion, they will not get an inch in the soil of Bangladesh."

The Anti-Discrimination Student Movement convener said all the religions would exist side by side in Bangladesh. "We`re determined to protect the rights of all. All should remain united."

Hasnat Abdullah alleged that the Awami fascist group has been trying to hatching conspiracy to create instability in the country sitting abroad. But, people would foil their all ill motives. Awami League`s rehabilitation would not happen in Bangladesh.

Speaking at the demonstration, July Shaheed Smrity Foundation general secretary Sarjis Alam said ISKCON would not be allowed to carry on its activities in Chittagong. "We have forced 16 years` murderer Hasina to leave the country. It`s nothing for us to oust extremist ISKCON from the country.

Apart from Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam, the demonstration was also addressed by Anti-Discrimination Student Movement`s central committee leader Russel Ahmed, central assistant coordinator Khan Talat Mahmud and others. They also demanded arrest of the people involved in the lawyer murder within the next 24 hours.
