Opener Dilara Dola hit her maiden ton as East Zone posted 316-8 against Central Zone on Day 1 of the second round of Women`s Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium in Rajshahi on Thursday, reports BSS.

Dola became the third female cricketer from Bangladesh to hit a ton in the first class cricket after Nigar Sultana Joty and Farzana Haque Pinky, who both hit centuries in the first round.

Opting to bat first, East Zone lost opener Shompa Akter cheaply but Dola stitched 154-run with Jannatul Ferdous Tithi for the second wicket to help the side set a strong platform.

Soon after the dismissal of Dola, Tithi was also removed for 65. Sharmin Supta and skipper Fahima Khatun then added 70 runs before Nahida Akter got the better of Fahima for 23 to break through.

In the immediate next over, Suborna Kormaker sent back Supta for 62 and East Zone tasted a collapse by losing four more wickets cheaply.
