Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) have witnessed a remarkable moment when Chattogram Kings was chasing a target of 204 runs set by Khulna Tigers as the Mehidy Hasan Miraj-led side yielded an extraordinary 15 runs in a single delivery at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Tuesday.

The incident, which occurred during the opening over of the innings, set a new world record for the most runs scored off one legal delivery in T20 cricket.

The dramatic event was sparked by Khulna`s bowler Oshane Thomas, whose sequence of no-balls and wides turned a single legal delivery into a nightmare. Chattogram`s opener, Naim Islam, initially appeared to be dismissed but was given a reprieve. By the end of the chaotic ball, a staggering 15 runs had been added to the scoreboard.

This new record surpasses the previous one of 13 runs scored off a single ball, achieved by Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal earlier this year. Jaiswal`s feat came during a match against Zimbabwe where he combined a six with runs from a no-ball to set the then-record.
