  24, April, 2025, 7:24:49:PM

Qatar`s Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, has expressed strong support for Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus`s leadership and pledged full cooperation in rebuilding Bangladesh.

The assurance came during a meeting between the two leaders at the Prime Minister`s Office in Doha on Thursday. During their discussions, Sheikh Mohammed committed to appointing a senior official to further strengthen bilateral ties and elevate the relationship to new heights.

"I believe that through reform and reconstruction, Bangladesh will emerge as a stronger nation," said the Qatari Prime Minister, expressing confidence in Dr Yunus`s leadership.

Dr Yunus sought Qatar`s diplomatic, financial, and investment support to help build a new, forward-looking Bangladesh. He emphasised the need to create opportunities and a prosperous future for the country`s 180 million citizens, especially the youth.

"We need your support to build a nation that fulfils the dreams of our young generation," Dr Yunus said.

The Rohingya crisis was also addressed in the meeting. Dr Yunus stressed the importance of international collaboration to ensure the safe and dignified repatriation of the Rohingya refugees.

In response, the Qatari Prime Minister reaffirmed his country`s commitment to supporting Bangladesh and contributing to a sustainable solution.
