Online Desk : At least 16 people were killed and 51 others injured in a road accident early Sunday morning in northern Ivory Coast, according to a statement from the Ministry of Transport.

The crash occurred around 6:00 am (0600 GMT) and involved a passenger bus traveling from San Pedro to Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, and a dump truck equipped with a crane.

Deadly road accidents are common in Ivory Coast, as in many other African countries, due to factors such as poor road conditions, aging vehicles, and unsafe driving behaviors.
