Online Report : At least 10 workers were injured when a worker-transporting bus overturned in the Korean Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) at Anwara in Chattogram.

The incident occurred around 5:00 PM on Thursday (July 31).

According to locals, workers boarded a bus heading toward Chattogram city after the end of the workday at various factories in KEPZ. As the bus approached the Daulatpur Gate area, it suddenly overturned, leaving 10 people injured on the spot.

Locals rescued the injured and took them to KEPZ’s own hospital for treatment.

Confirming the matter, KEPZ Assistant General Manager (AGM) Md. Mushfiqur Rahman said that several workers were injured when a worker-transporting bus overturned on its way to Chattogram city.

They were receiving primary medical treatment in the hospital, he added.
