A scuffle broke out between two groups of BNP during a hearing on objection over the redrawing of the boundary of Brahmanbaria 2 and 3 constituencis at the Election Commission on Sunday afternoon, August 24.

The two factions faced off in front of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AAM Nasir Uddin and other election commissioners around 12:45pm.

The election officials tried to stop both groups but failed. Journalists have not been allowed to cover the hearing.

The National Citizen Party (NCP) also claimed that the men of BNP`s assistant international affairs secretary Rumeen Farhana, who wants to contest in the Brahmanbaria-2 seat, attacked and beat up them during the EC hearing.

Rumeen Farhana said the men of rival group first pushed her and then, her followers pushed them.

About the attack on NCP, she said they first pushed me and then, my men respondent to this.
