The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) has reduced gold prices in the local market once again, cutting Tk 1,039 per bhori. Following the latest adjustment, the price of 22-carat gold has been set at Tk 207,957 per bhori, effective Monday, according to a BAJUS press release issued Sunday night.

The price revision comes after a fall in the rate of pure gold (Tejabi) in the domestic market.

Under the new rates are as follows. 21-carat gold: Tk 198,498 per bhori, 18-carat gold: Tk 170,143 per bhori, and traditional gold: Tk 141,496 per bhori.

BAJUS noted that these prices include a 5% government VAT and a minimum 6% making charge, though the final making charge may vary depending on the jewellery design and quality.

Earlier, on October 22, BAJUS had reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 8,386 per bhori, bringing it down to Tk 208,996.

So far in 2025, gold prices in Bangladesh have been adjusted 68 times, with 48 increases and 20 decreases.
