Overnight Israeli strikes in Gaza kill at least 60, including children
  29, October, 2025, 1:55:52:PM

Overnight Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have killed at least 60 people, including many children, local hospital officials reported Wednesday.

The strikes follow orders from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to carry out “powerful strikes” in response to what he described as Hamas violating the fragile ceasefire.

The ceasefire, which began on October 10, has been unstable, with previous flare-ups and ongoing tensions challenging the truce.

The Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah said at least 10 bodies — including three women and six children — arrived after two Israeli airstrikes in the area. In southern Gaza, the Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis reported receiving 20 bodies following five strikes, including 13 children and two women.

Meanwhile, Al-Awda Hospital in central Gaza received 30 bodies, of which 14 were children.

Netanyahu’s directive came after an Israeli official said Hamas had fired on Israeli forces in southern Gaza. Hamas has also delayed returning another hostage’s body in response to Israel’s planned strikes.

Earlier on Monday, the Palestinian militant group handed over body parts that Israel identified as remains of a previously recovered hostage, which Netanyahu cited as a violation of the ceasefire.
