|   The decision of the Directorate of Primary Education on Primary Scholarship Examination has been declared illegal, according to a High Court verdict. 
The court also directed to make arrangement for students of private educational institution to take part in the examination in light of the 2008 Primary Scholarship Examination Policy. 
An HC bench of Justice Md Mojibur ahma Miah and Justice Rezaul Karim pronounced the judgement after hearing on a writ filed earlier in this regard. 
Barrister Muntasir Ahmed confined the matter to media on Tuesday. 
Earlier, Arifur Rahman Murad Bhuiyan, a resident of Narsingdi, filed a writ challenging the exclusion of students from private schools in the primary scholarship examination. 
 The petitioner said that until 2022, students from all institutions — both government and private — could participate in the primary scholarship exam. 
However, on July 17, the Directorate of Primary Education issued two circulars which did not include any provision for private school students to sit for the scholarship exam.
