| A total of 834 people were hospitalised with dengue across the country in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
No new deaths were reported during this period.
Of the new patients, 167 were admitted in Barishal division, 103 in Chattogram, 229 in Dhaka division (outside the city corporations), 203 in Dhaka North City Corporation area, 60 in Dhaka South, and 72 in Mymensingh division (outside the city corporation).
During the same 24-hour period, 819 patients recovered and were released from hospitals. So far this year, a total of 73,785 dengue patients have been discharged after treatment.
Since January, 77,348 people have been admitted to hospitals with dengue, and 307 have died from the mosquito-borne disease.
In comparison, 2024 saw 101,214 hospitalisations and 575 deaths, while 2023 recorded the highest toll so far — 1,705 deaths and 321,179 hospitalisations.
