Kamrul Hasan : The Lions International Club, a globally recognized humanitarian service organization, has once again demonstrated its deep commitment to serving humanity in Manikganj. The club has announced a remarkable initiative to provide free cataract surgeries to 50 underprivileged men and women from various parts of the district. Residents have praised the effort as a “life-changing humanitarian initiative,” bringing hope and restored vision to those suffering for years.

The announcement came during an emergency meeting held on Saturday (20 November) at the office of Lions International Club, Manikganj District (315A3). The meeting was presided over by the club’s president, Rafiquddin Bhuiyan Habu, former organizational secretary of the District BNP and a member of the district BNP’s convening committee.

Club leaders stated that the initiative aims to ensure basic healthcare rights and extend medical support to those who are financially incapable of accessing essential treatment.
