| Online Report : The Directorate of National Consumers` Rights Protection (DNCRP) on Monday fined around Tk 3 lakh to 95 institutions across the country for selling essential commodities including potatoes, onions, and eggs at higher prices.
A total of 48 teams from the directorate conducted raids at 60 markets and imposed a fine of Tk 2,99,000, a DNCRP press release said on Monday night.
It said they conducted operations across the country in order to keep the supply and price of essential commodities including potatoes, onions, and eggs stable.
The activities of the directorate will be continued further to protect the consumers` rights, it added.
