Staff Correspondent : There is no alternative to BNP’s Acting Chairman, Deshnayak Tarique Rahman, in restoring Bangladesh’s independence, sovereignty, democracy, and the fundamental rights of its people, said Advocate Aminul Haque — former member of the Advisory Council of Manikganj District BNP, former Vice-President of the JASAS Central Committee, senior lawyer of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, and BNP nomination aspirant for Manikganj-1 constituency.

After Jumu’ah prayers on Friday, he began a mass outreach campaign with local leaders and activists starting from the Shibaloy Central Jame Mosque. He visited various places including Shibaloy Bazar, Himganj, Nihalpur, Anwaypur, Dashkandi, Paturia, Goalkhali, and Nobogram, where he distributed leaflets and addressed several street rallies along with party activists.
This campaign mainly aimed to present BNP’s declared 31-point state reform agenda to the general public.

While addressing a street rally, he said,
“BNP’s core objective is to safeguard the country’s sovereignty, ensure people’s fundamental rights, and strengthen the organization under the guidance of Tarique Rahman. Only through the implementation of the 31 points can we fulfill the promise of restructuring the state.”

The senior lawyer further said,
“Under the visionary leadership of Deshnayak Tarique Rahman, the joint movement of BNP and the people has toppled authoritarian rule. Now, we must work together to transform the results of this struggle into sustainable development. We must carry forward the nation’s progress by upholding the ideals of martyred President Ziaur Rahman.”

Regarding the current political situation, Advocate Aminul Haque said,
“As part of fulfilling the people’s 17-year-long expectation, the interim government has decided to hold the national election in February 2026. But a vested quarter has engaged in new conspiracies to sabotage the electoral process. In the interest of the country, this evil force must be resisted unitedly.”

He believes that to safeguard the democratic future of the nation, patriotic forces must come together on a single platform, regardless of political affiliation.

Addressing party activists, he added,
“We must ensure the victory of the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’. Women must play a leading role in the movement to restore people’s voting rights, alongside men.”

Leaders of BNP and its affiliated organizations were present at the event. Advocate Aminul Haque also spoke with local residents, gathering their views on their problems, expectations, and the prevailing political situation.

He prayed for the recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia and the long life of Deshnayak Tarique Rahman. He also sought blessings for the peace, development, and democratic future of the country.
