| International Desk : Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and China’s Foreign Minister, met on Sunday in Beijing with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar for the seventh China–Pakistan Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue.
During the dialogue, both sides agreed to advance the implementation of the Action Plan for Building a China–Pakistan Community with a Shared Future, accelerate the development of the “2.0 upgraded version” of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), safeguard the common interests of the Global South, and oppose acts that violate the sovereignty of other countries in accordance with the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations.
Addressing the dialogue, Wang Yi noted that the evolving situation in Venezuela has drawn widespread international attention. He reaffirmed China’s consistent opposition to the use or threat of force in international relations, as well as to imposing one country’s will upon another.
Prior to the meeting, both sides jointly unveiled a commemorative emblem marking the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan and attended a photo exhibition celebrating the milestone.
