Special Correspondent: The Bangladesh Justice Party expresses deep concern over recent developments along the Bangladesh–India border, as well as reports published in national and international media and information circulated through social media, which have raised public concerns regarding Bangladesh`s sovereignty, border security, and national interests.

Various reports and sources have alleged that certain individuals are being identified by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) as illegal Bangladeshi nationals, gathered near border areas, and efforts are being made to facilitate their entry into Bangladesh. Recent public statements by West Bengal political leader Suvendu Adhikari have also generated concerns and questions among the people of Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Justice Party calls upon the Government of Bangladesh to establish the facts, undertake necessary diplomatic initiatives, and maintain the highest level of vigilance along the border.

The Bangladesh Justice Party appreciates the vigilance and professionalism demonstrated by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and the patriotic residents of border areas in safeguarding the country`s borders and national security. Their continued commitment to protecting Bangladesh’s independence and sovereignty is a matter of national pride.

At the same time, various reports circulating on social media regarding increased military activities and the deployment of heavy weaponry in border regions have created public anxiety. The Bangladesh Justice Party believes that the relevant authorities should take all necessary precautionary measures and keep the people adequately informed in the interest of national security.

Furthermore, the recent incident involving the damage or theft of security-related infrastructure at the Bangladesh Secretariat, one of the country`s most important and sensitive state institutions, is deeply concerning. The Party considers such incidents a serious challenge to the national security framework and calls for a prompt, impartial, and comprehensive investigation to identify those responsible and bring them to justice.

The Bangladesh Justice Party firmly believes that political differences, competition, and debate are natural components of a democratic society. However, when the issues concern national independence, sovereignty, border security, and the broader national interest, there can be no room for division. On such matters, the nation must stand united regardless of political affiliation, religion, ethnicity, or social background.

History demonstrates that foreign powers have often exploited internal divisions and weaknesses to expand their influence within sovereign nations. Therefore, strengthening national unity, social cohesion, and commitment to the state is an urgent necessity under the present circumstances.

The Bangladesh Justice Party urges the Government of India to refrain from any activities along the Bangladesh–India border that may create tension, provoke instability, or lead to misunderstandings. All outstanding issues should be addressed through mutual respect, adherence to international law, respect for human rights, and the spirit of good-neighbourly relations.

The Party also calls upon all political parties, social organizations, professional groups, students, youth, and conscientious citizens to remain vigilant, reject rumours and misinformation, and work collectively to safeguard the sovereignty, security, and stability of Bangladesh.

The Bangladesh Justice Party further calls upon its leaders, activists, supporters, and well-wishers across the country to remain alert, disciplined, and responsible in the current situation. The Party urges them to be mentally prepared to make any necessary sacrifice, should the need arise, for the protection of Bangladesh’s independence, sovereignty, border security, and national interests. Patriotism, national unity, restraint, and commitment to democratic values must guide all actions in addressing any challenge facing the nation.
