| Special Correspondent: Lion Umar Razi has been appointed as the ‘Region Chairperson (Project)’ for Lions Clubs International, District 315 A1, Bangladesh, for the 2026-2027 Lionistic year.
He recently received his official appointment letter from the District Governor (Elect), Lion Nowzat Sarwat Islam, PMJF.
The ceremony was attended by the First Vice District Governor (Elect), Dr. Abul Hossain Khandaker, and the Second Vice District Governor (Elect), Sabina Siddiqui Rita. It is worth noting that Sabina Siddiqui Rita is the spouse of Dr. Dewan Muhammad Salahuddin, the Honourable Member of Parliament for Dhaka-19 (Savar-Ashulia) and a former District Governor.
Regarding his new role, Lion Umar Razi stated, "It is an immense honour for me to serve humanity while upholding the core objectives of Lionism. I am committed to discharging my duties effectively, keeping the central philosophy of the District Governor’s annual slogan, ‘Together we rise, together we thrive,’ at the forefront."
He has requested the prayers and cooperation of all Lions members and well-wishers across the district as he embarks on this new journey.
