Bangladesh Meteorological Department, BMD, on Saturday forecasted light to moderate rain in a few places of the country for the next 24 hours from 9:00am today.

"Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places over Khulna & Barishal divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka & Chattogram divisions. Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country", it said.

The Well-marked low over Southwest Bay and adjoining area persists. It is likely to move nearly northwestwards and intensify further. It`s associated trough extends up to North Bay. Ridge of sub-continental high extends upto West Bengal and adjoining area.

Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during midnight till morning.

Night temperature may rise and day temperature may fall slightly over the country.
