The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association, BAJUS, has reduced the price of 22 carat gold by Tk 1,155 to Tk 1,53,370 per bhori (11.664 grams).
Besides, 21-carat gold was cut by Tk 1,108 to Tk 1,46,395 a bhori, 18-carat by Tk 945 to Tk 1,25,481, and gold of traditional method by Tk 805 to Tk 1,03,401 respectively.
The prices have been decreased following a rise in the price of pure gold in the local market, BAJUS said in a statement today.
The new prices will come into effect from Monday, February 24.
Earlier on February 21, the price of 22-carat gold rose by Tk 3,243 to Tk 1,54,525 per bhori, while 21-carat gold increased by Tk 3,103 to Tk 1,47,503 per bhori.
Similarly, 18-carat gold rose by Tk 2,659 to Tk 1,26,426 per bhori, and traditional gold by Tk 2,274 to Tk 1,04,206 per bhori.
