The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association, BAJUS, has reduced the price of 22 carat gold by Tk 2,624 to Tk 1,48,343 per bhori (11.664 grams).
Besides, 21-carat gold was cut by Tk 2,496 to Tk 1,41,601 a bhori, 18-carat by Tk 2,134 to Tk 1,21,376, and gold of traditional method by Tk 1,832 to Tk 99,890 respectively.
The prices have been decreased following a rise in the price of pure gold in the local market, BAJUS said in a statement on Saturday, March 1.
The new prices will come into effect from Sunday, March 2.
Earlier on February 27, the price of 22-carat gold declined by Tk 2,403 to Tk 1,50,967 per bhori, while 21-carat gold decreased by Tk 2,298 to Tk 1,44,097 per bhori.
Similarly, 18-carat gold declined by Tk 1,971 to Tk 1,23,510 per bhori, and traditional gold by Tk 1,679 to Tk 1,01,722 per bhori.
