Gold prices go up, bhori Tk 1.53 lakh

The Bangladesh Jeweler’s Association, BAJUS, has increased the prices of gold, with raising 22 carat gold by Tk 2,613 to Tk 1,53,475 per bhori (11.664 grams).

Besides, 21-carat gold was raised by Tk 2,496 to Tk 1,46,500 a bhori, 18-carat by Tk 2,147 to Tk 1,25,575, and gold of traditional method by Tk 1,831 to Tk 1,03,471 respectively.

The prices have been hiked following a rise in the price of pure gold in the local market, BAJUS said in a statement on Sunday, March 16.

The new prices will come into effect from Monday, March 17.
