Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Senior Physician Dr. Debashis Chowdhury has said that Taskin Ahmed is anticipated to regain his match fitness by early June.
He recently accompanied Taskin during his consultation with a team of medical specialists in London concerning his persistent Achilles tendon issue.
In London, Taskin underwent assessment by an ankle surgeon, a sports physician, and a sports physiotherapist.
Following a thorough evaluation, the collective medical opinion has recommended a non-surgical approach to manage the condition at this stage, according to Dr. Debashis.
A comprehensive rehabilitation plan has been developed for Taskin, a crucial member of the Bangladesh national team. This plan will be implemented under the guidance of the Bangladesh national team support staff.
"The specialists believe that a conservative, non-surgical approach is the best course of action for Taskin at this time," Dr. Debashis Chowdhury said. "The rehabilitation programme is tailored to gradually restore his fitness and manage the tendon condition effectively. We are optimistic about his progress."
Dr. Chowdhury further added, "Taskin is expected to regain match fitness by early June, contingent upon the successful completion of his rehabilitation."
