The Election Commission (EC) has ordered field officers to submit the inventory of ballot boxes by August 25. At the same time, it has directed field offices to clear their godowns.

EC Secretary Akhtar Ahmed has already sent the directive to all regional election officers. The instruction specifies that an updated record of usable ballot boxes must be sent to the Election Management-1 Sub-Branch by August 25.

Additionally, to ensure proper storage of materials for the upcoming national parliamentary elections, offices must submit requests for necessary allocations to facilitate material transfers and free up sufficient space in the godowns.

EC officials said procurement for the 13th national parliamentary elections has already begun, with the commission aiming to complete all purchases by September.
