Dengue continues to pose a serious public health challenge in Bangladesh, with 432 new cases reported in the 24 hours leading up to Thursday morning. This brings the total number of confirmed cases this year to 30,376, according to data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Fortunately, no new deaths were reported during this period, keeping the death toll at 118 for the year so far. Currently, 1,426 patients are undergoing treatment at hospitals across the country.

In comparison, 575 people lost their lives to dengue in 2024, underscoring the importance of sustained public awareness, mosquito control, and timely medical intervention.
Health officials continue to urge citizens to take preventive measures, eliminatemosquito breeding sites, and seek immediate medical attention if dengue symptoms appear.
