Representatives from different constituencies in the Bagerhat district have demanded that the all four constituencies in the district be retained.

They made the demand during a hearing on parliamentary seats at the Election Bhaban on Monday.

Adv Wahiduzzaman Dipu, representative of Bagerhat-3 constituency, said, "There have been four constituencies in Bagerhat since the country became independent. Suddenly, the EC said there will be no four constituencies. The people of Bagerhat do not accept it, this is illogical."
