Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB-25) arrested two alleged drug peddlers with Yaba pills from Bijoynagar Upazila in Brahmanbaria district on Thursday night.

The arrested are Ashikur Rahman, 26 and Ariyan Khandaker, 26, both are residents of Purba Medda village in Brahmanbaria district.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of BGB officials from Bishnupur Border Outpost (BOP) under the Sarail Battalion conducted a drive in the Kalachhara area of Singarbil union of the upazila and arrested the duo with Yaba pills.

BGB seized 576 pieces of Yaba pills, 3 mobile phones and a motorcycle from their possessions.

BGB-25 Sarail Battalion confirmed the incident through a press release and said that the arrested have been handed over to Bijoynagar Police Station along with the seized items for legal action.
