kamrul Hasan : After a long time, party leaders, activists, supporters, general voters and locals celebrated the 47th founding anniversary of BNP with due dignity and in a festive atmosphere in Ghior, Manikganj.

The day-long event concluded with a road meeting at the Ghior Public Library premises on Wednesday (September 3) morning and a colorful rally later.

With the participation of a large number of leaders and activists from the three upazilas of Manikganj-1 constituency, the rally went around the main road of the city and met at the upazila square for a short gathering.

Holding banners and festoons in their hands, the leaders and activists raised slogans for the restoration of democracy and the names of Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman.

The rally and gathering were led by Dr. Khondaker Akbar Hossain Bablu, the eldest son of late BNP Secretary General Khondaker Delwar Hossain, former vice-president and member of the convening committee of the district BNP, and BNP nomination hopeful from Manikganj-1 constituency.
