| Police arrested three people, including two women, during the raid, with two locally made single-barrelled guns at Maheshkhali upazila in Cox`s Bazar district.
The operation was conducted at Gorokghata Jetty Ghat area in the upazila on Wednesday night.
The arrestees were identified as Saiful Islam, 25, from Pahartali area of Cox`s Bazar Sadar upazila; Gulbahar Khatun, 65, from SM Para of Sadar upazila; and Dilbar Begum, 60, from the same area.
Cox`s Bazar District Police Additional Superintendent of Police Md Jasim Uddin Chowdhury confirmed the arrest and said that a case has been filed against the arrestees and they have been handed over to the court.
