Child drowns in Ctg

A child died after drowning in a pond at Fatikchari upazila in Chattogram on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Arafat, 4, son of Moinuddin of Pindong village in the upazila.

According to locals, Arafat and other children were playing near a pond close to their home at around 1:00 PM when the incident occurred.


Later, family members and locals rescued and rushed him to Fatikchari Upazila Health Complex at around 2:00 PM where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
