Kamrul Hasan : Engineer Moinul Islam Khan Shanto, Member of the Advisory Council to the BNP Chairperson, former General Secretary of Manikganj District BNP, former Member of Parliament, and BNP-nominated candidate for Manikganj-2 constituency, has said that there is no alternative to the Sheaf of Paddy for building a prosperous and developed Bangladesh.

He emphasized that to establish a just state through the implementation of the BNP’s 31-point reform plan—aimed at protecting independence, the constitution, and democracy, and at restructuring the state system—it is essential to build united public opinion in favor of the Sheaf of Paddy.

Shanto made these remarks on Thursday evening at his residence in Charigram, Singair Upazila, Manikganj, while attending a cake-cutting ceremony organized to extend greetings and congratulations on behalf of central JASAS leader Mazharul Islam Payel.

Engineer Moinul Islam Khan Shanto said, “The BNP’s main objective is to safeguard national sovereignty, ensure the people’s fundamental rights, and strengthen the organization under the leadership of National Leader Tarique Rahman. The implementation of the 31-point program is the only way to rebuild the state structure.”

He added, “Under the visionary leadership of Tarique Rahman, the autocratic regime has been overthrown through the combined movement of the BNP and the people. Now, the challenge is to transform the achievements of that movement into sustainable national development. True national reconstruction is possible only by embracing the ideals and patriotic spirit of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.”

Shanto further said, “As part of fulfilling the people’s 17-year-long expectations, the interim government has decided to hold the next national election in February 2026. However, a certain quarter is conspiring to sabotage the election under the guise of the so-called ‘PR system.’ We must remain united to resist these anti-democratic forces for the sake of the nation’s welfare.”

He called upon all party leaders and activists to play an active role in ensuring the victory of the Sheaf of Paddy and urged women to take a leading role in the political arena.

At the event, he also sought prayers for the speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and for the good health and long life of National Leader Tarique Rahman.

The program was attended by senior leaders of the District, Upazila, Union, and Ward BNP units, leaders of various associate organizations, local dignitaries, and hundreds of party members and residents.

It may be mentioned that the cake-cutting ceremony was organized to express heartfelt greetings and congratulations to Engineer Moinul Islam Khan Shanto on his nomination as the BNP candidate for Manikganj-2 constituency, following the decision of the BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, and other senior leaders of the party.
