| International Desk: China’s robot exports have recorded rapid growth since the beginning of this year, with increasingly advanced robot categories opening new opportunities in overseas markets.
According to data from China’s customs authorities, in the first five months of this year, China exported 10.377 million units of robots to more than 150 countries and regions worldwide. The total export value reached 19.99 billion yuan, with the European Union and ASEAN member states among the key destinations.
Among different categories, cleaning robots accounted for the largest share, with export value reaching 14 billion yuan—more than 70% of the total. Industrial robots also saw significant shipments, with 70,000 units exported. Vision-recognition and AI algorithm-based logistics robots have been deployed in overseas infrastructure projects. In addition, more than 8,000 bionic intelligent robots were exported during the period.
