Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has said despite the autocratic regime of Sheikh Hasina fled to India in the wake of mass uprising, it has been conspiring to create instability in the country in various ways.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a wayside meeting at Atharomile Bazar intersection under Dumuria upazila in Khulna district on Thursday (December 26) morning.
The Jamaat Ameer said those who had committed mass killings and opened fire on people using the bullets purchased by spending their money, they don`t have the right to do politics.
A large amount of money earned by people was siphoned off the country by the cohorts of the previous government led by Sheikh Hasina.
"Stakeholders of the previous autocratic government had fled the country, but they are still hatching conspiracies to destabilize the country," he added.
The meeting was addressed, among others, by Secretary General Prof. Mian Golam Parwar, Organizing Secretary Muhaddis Abdul Khaleque, and Mawlana Abul Kalam Azad.
In the afternoon, the Jamaat Ameer addressed at a worker`s rally at the Katakana College ground under Koyra upazila.
