Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) standing committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury said, "We have defeated the autocratic government through a movement with the concerted efforts of all. A fair and neutral election is needed to materialize the expectations and aspirations of the people about Bangladesh."

"If BNP forms the government, we will be able to fulfill the expectations of the people. The conspiracies of domestic and foreign conspirators have not stopped. You have to be aware of that. Leaders and activists of all levels will have to be united to face conspiracies. We fought for the rights of the people, the final victory will be ours. Until then, everyone has to be patient."

He also said that reform is needed to repair the state, but it has to be in Parliament. With the trust, support and mandate of the people. The people`s elected parliament will implement those reforms. We have given a 31-point proposal long ago to repair the state. We are working towards that goal. I go to people`s doors. We`ll implement the 31-point demand through an elected government and fulfill the promises we made to the people.

He came up with the remarks while exchanging greetings with the leaders of BNP, its associate bodies, demanding withdrawal of the suspension order of Chattogram south district BNP convener Abu Sufian.
