3 held with Yaba tablets in Noakhali

Joint forces arrested three people along with 960 pieces of Yaba tablets in Noakhali`s Companiganj upazila Sunday.

The arrested men are Md Jahangir Alam, a resident of Charhazari Union in the upazila and a local UP member; Jamir Hossain, 68, from Bandarban; and Osman Hossain, 28, from Cox`s Bazar.


Acting on a tip-off, a team of joint forces conducted a raid in Charhazari union in the upazila and arrested them from Ward No. 2 under the union in the upazila, said Bimal Kormokar, inspector of Companiganj Police Station.
