Online Desk : A teenage boy was killed in a road accident in Pabna Sadar Upazila on Tuesday.

The accident occurred around 11:00 pm in front of Yakub Filling Station in the town`s bypass area.

The dead was identified as Yasin Arafat, 16, son of Milon Hossain. He was a tenth-grade student at Pabna Ideal Laboratory School and College and was set to sit for the SSC examinations in April.

According to police, Yasin was heading towards the town`s terminal riding on his motorcycle from Meril Bypass area. At that time, a truck from the opposite direction collided with his motorcycle. He fell on the road and was critically injured.

Locals rushed him to Pabna General Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Pabna Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge Abdus Salam confirmed it.
