| S.U.F. Mukurema Reza, mother-in-law of the late Arafat Rahman Koko—the younger son of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia—has passed away (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji`un).
She breathed her last at 3:45 AM on Sunday (April 6) while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. She was 71 years old.
She is survived by two sons, a daughter, and many relatives and admirers.
Mukurema Reza had been suffering from multiple health issues for some time. Her funeral prayer (janaza) will be held after Asr prayer on Sunday at the Old DOHS field in Banani. She will be laid to rest at Banani Graveyard.
In a statement, Mohammad Alid Bin Siddique Talukdar, President of the Central Committee of Jatiya Janata Forum, and Advocate Mohammad Swapnil Sarkar, Member Secretary, expressed deep sorrow at her passing. They prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
