Gold prices in the country have hit an all-time high once again.
The price of top-quality 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) has been raised by Tk 4,713, reaching Tk 1,72,546 – the highest ever recorded in the local market.
The Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) announced the price hike on Monday, attributing it to a rise in the price of acid gold (pure gold) in the domestic market.
The new rates will come into effect from Tuesday (April 22).
With global uncertainties and increased demand driving up prices, gold continues to strengthen its status as a reliable investment option.
