The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has confirmed plans to stage the 12th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) during the December-January window, similar to last year.
The decision came during a six-hour-long 19th board of directors meeting held yesterday at the BCB headquarters at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
As part of efforts to improve tournament operations, the board announced that an event management company will be brought in to help run the BPL. BCB is also considering signing a five-year agreement with franchises for the next tournament cycle.
Fortune Barishal are the reigning BPL champions, having defeated Chittagong Kings by three wickets in the final.
