Hindu Raksha Dal Member Threatens Mass Violence against Muslims in Kanpur Rally
  2, July, 2026, 8:44:26:PM

WR Desk: Videos circulating on social media show a man, said to be a member of the right-wing Hindu Raksha Dal, issuing an open threat of mass violence against Muslims. The undated footage is purportedly from a protest in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathipur village in Kanpur district. The protest was reportedly organised following the killing of a local man identified as Golu Singh. However, according to the clips, the gathering took a disturbing turn when one of the speakers allegedly made inflammatory remarks targeting the Muslim community. Social media posts have identified the speaker as Ram Gupta of the Hindu Raksha Dal.
However, authorities have yet to verify the identification.
In a video, the man could be heard declaring, “We will not leave a single Muslim alive in Hathipur village,” while also using abusive language against Muslims. The remarks have triggered widespread concern, with people describing them as a direct call for communal violence. Social media users have urged the authorities to take immediate action against the speaker.
Several netizens argued that such statements, if left unchecked, have the potential to inflame communal tensions and endanger lives. Many users also said similar remarks directed at any other religious community would have drawn an immediate legal response. They called for the law to be applied impartially, regardless of the identity of the speaker or the community being targeted.
The alleged threat comes at a time when concerns over hate speech and communal rhetoric continue to dominate public discourse in the country. As of now, there has been no official confirmation from the police regarding the viral video, the identity of the speaker, or whether any case has been registered in connection with the alleged remarks. Authorities have not yet issued any statement on the incident.
