Online Report : Six members of a family sustained burn injuries from an explosion allegedly triggered by a gas leakage at a house in Chandpur`s municipal city on Saturday night.

Critically injured four people--Abdur Rahman, Shanu Begum, Khadiza Akter and Moin--were sent to National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka.

Imam Hossain and Diba Akter are currently undergoing treatment at Chandpur General Hospital.

According to neighbours, the fire originated at the house from a big bang while cooking food for sehri.

Mahmudul Hossain Sumon, emergency doctor of the Chandpur General Hospital, said "Six were brought to the hospital. Of them, four were transferred to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in critical condition."
