Xi Jinping`s Four Global Initiatives Serve as the True Compass for World Peace: Moses Wetang`ula
  24, October, 2026, 9:36:14:PM

In a recent exclusive interview with China Media Group (CMG), Moses Wetang`ula, Speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya, lauded China`s remarkable developmental progress. He stated that China has achieved unprecedented success on the global stage, offering an exemplary model worthy of emulation for developing nations across Africa and beyond. He added that if the international community embraces and implements President Xi Jinping`s four global initiatives, all nations will be able to coexist peacefully.

During the interview, Speaker Wetang`ula remarked that today`s China is distinctly transformed from what it was three decades ago. China`s rich experience in modern social governance, economic expansion, industrialization, heavy manufacturing, engineering technology, and the overall enhancement of living standards presents an invaluable learning opportunity for African nations. He noted, "China has emerged as one of the primary and closest partners of Africa`s emerging economies. China`s constructive developmental footprint is visibly felt in virtually every African nation."

Reflecting on his firsthand experience observing port operations in Tianjin during his visit to China, he recounted, "I witnessed firsthand the port`s modern operational efficiency and advanced container handling systems. Operations that previously took an entire day to complete are now executed within just an hour thanks to modern technology. Accelerating the transport and logistics ecosystem generates substantial economic value. The resources conserved can be reinvested into agriculture, infrastructure development, and employment generation, ultimately enriching the broader economy. How to drive economic growth anchored on technology and smart management is a lesson to be drawn from China."

Turning to the global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, the Kenyan Speaker emphasized that against the backdrop of today`s uncertain global landscape, President Xi`s four global initiatives are exceptionally timely for all humanity. At a juncture marked by escalating global conflicts, mounting security challenges, the disruption of civilizational dialogue, and the erosion of human dignity, these initiatives illuminate the path toward lasting peace. He affirmed with conviction, "If nations across the globe adopt and implement these four global initiatives, sustainable and peaceful coexistence can indeed be realized. I personally extend my full endorsement to President Xi`s visionary foresight and actively champion it across international forums."

Reaffirming the enduring foundation of China-Kenya diplomatic relations, Wetang`ula underscored that Kenya consistently respects China`s territorial integrity and national sovereignty. "Kenya firmly believes that China is an indivisible sovereign nation. During my tenure as Kenya`s Minister for Foreign Affairs, certain lobby entities attempted to sway our stance in exchange for supporting the so-called `Taiwan independence.` However, I rejected their overtures unequivocally, making it clear that Kenya would never deviate from this foundational principle. The rationale is straightforward—we uphold the very same standard toward our friendly partners that we expect for our own nation."
