The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations of August 11 of all boards will not be held due to ongoing violence across the country.
Prof Tapan Kumar Sarkar, chief of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and chairman of Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, confirmed this to media on Tuesday.
"The question papers we have already sent to the police stations, were burnt down. Those will be published again. In this situation, it will not possible to hold the examination," he added.
The HSC examinations were postponed several times following the countrywide recent violence centering the Quota Reform Movement.
