Zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine won the toss and elected to bat first in the second Test of the two-match series against Bangladesh at the Bir Shreshtha Shahid Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram.
Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto was once again unlucky at the toss, as his side looks to bounce back after a defeat in the first Test in Sylhet, where they now trail the series 1-0.
The match marks a special moment for young pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib, who is making his Test debut. He was presented with his Test cap by the team’s most senior player, Mushfiqur Rahim, in a heartwarming ceremony earlier this morning.
Bangladesh made two changes from the Sylhet Test. Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Khaled Ahmed have been left out, while Anamul Haque has been drafted into the playing XI.
