Online Report : President Donald Trump launched an airstrike in Iran using stealth bombers without obtaining approval from Congress, claims US Representative Ro Khanna.

The Democratic lawmaker said the action was not authorized and violated established procedures.

In a social media post on Saturday, June 21, Khanna stated that President Trump carried out the attack without seeking or receiving permission from Congress. He emphasized the urgency of returning to Washington to vote on the War Powers Resolution that he and Representative Thomas Massie had previously introduced.

“Our duty is clear,” Khanna wrote. “We must vote on our War Powers Resolution to ensure the United States doesn`t fall into another endless Middle East war.”

According to the U.S. Constitution, only Congress holds the power to declare war. However, in recent decades, multiple administrations—especially sitting presidents—have bypassed Congress in making military decisions, sparking ongoing controversy in Washington.

Khanna and Republican Congressman Thomas Massie have jointly introduced the War Powers Resolution in the past, aiming to limit unauthorized military actions by ensuring Congressional oversight before engaging in foreign military interventions.
